Since being placed online in 1978 the Hospital Hill Storage Tank has never been drained and recoated due to the operational constraints of only having one water storage tank in the town’s water distribution system. With the construction of the Seneca Hill Tank in 2014, the town now has the operation capacity to take the Hospital Hill Tank offline to make minor repairs and recoat the interior of the tank. The coating system of choice is anticipated to extend the life of the tank another 30 to 50 years and help ensure contaminate-free water is able to be delivered to the residents of Hayden. A State Revolving Fund Loan of $854,000 was acquired to pay for this project.
