Tara moved to the Yampa Valley in 2013. She has been a member of the Hayden Economic Development Commission since 2023 and a resident of Hayden since 2021. Growing up in an agricultural family and small town, she and her husband instantly connected with the community here and love both the rich history of Hayden and its welcoming spirit to newcomers. Tara is currently the Product Marketing Manager at the Steamboat Ski Resort and her husband is an Operations Manager at the Hayden Station facility. Tara has a passion, and professional background, in business development and is eager to support the local businesses and entrepreneurs of Hayden.

He has lived in the Yampa Valley since 2011 and recently moved with his wife and two small children to the Town of Hayden in December of 2021 Brian is eager to become more active in the local Hayden community and has fallen in love with the town, people and rich agricultural history. Brian is excited about the opportunity to be a part of the growth and development of Hayden for years to come.
Kathy is new to Hayden as of 2021, but she came to Steamboat with her son in 2000. She started as the Membership Director for the Steamboat Chamber where, she says, she was paid to meet everyone in town! She has always been in some area of the business world over the years and especially enjoys working with people who are trying to reach their employment goals. Her idea of indoor fun is to make a list and cross things off it as they get accomplished. The Jack Russell Terrier in her life is named Jimmie, who luckily happens to be quieter than most of the breed. Before moving to Colorado she lived in Massachusetts, Delaware, Missouri, southern California, Pennsylvania and Nebraska due to job opportunities. Kathy tried full time retirement when she moved to Hayden, but flunked, which is how she has become a member of the Economic Development Commission and a part time assistant to a trial lawyer in Steamboat. Hayden’s need to grow the business base and housing choices reminds her of a start-up company that has a lot to do today and needs to manage the town’s growth for a future that maintains the Hayden culture and personality.

Scott moved to Hayden in July 2023 with his wife and two kids, pursuing a dream to live in a small Colorado town. He was born and raised in Topeka, KS, where he retired after 25 years of service with the Topeka Police Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and has completed coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Scott also spent 17 years as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with a rural fire department and was a small business owner for a handful of years. It’s this entrepreneurial spirit that led him to the Economic Development Commission. He wants to help Hayden grow in the sense of having thriving small businesses that provide residents and visitors with goods and services while maintaining the small-town charm that we all love. Scott enjoys the Colorado outdoors and loves just about anything related to automobiles, especially the family’s classic 1967 Ford Mustang.
