Susan Koehler, Vice Chair of the Hayden arts commission

SUSAN KOEHLER
vice chair

Susan moved to Hayden in 1995 with her husband, Karl, their 3 daughters, and fourteen years of art teaching experience after graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1981 and earning a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wyoming in 1991. From 1996 to 2006 Susan taught a variety of adjunct classes for CMC and CNCC before taking a job as an Art Teacher with the Hayden School District, a position she enjoyed for the past sixteen years.  With experience teaching art to all age levels and expertise in a broad variety of media, Susan is excited to apply her skills and knowledge to help develop high quality art facilities, programming, and course offerings that serve the needs of all community members.  Whether a timid beginner or an accomplished artist, Susan envisions the Hayden Center as a place where everyone, yes, even her husband, can find their inner artist and then partake of educational experiences that support continued growth on their artistic journey!
