Scott moved to Hayden in July 2023 with his wife and two kids, pursuing a dream to live in a small Colorado town. He was born and raised in Topeka, KS, where he retired after 25 years of service with the Topeka Police Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and has completed coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Scott also spent 17 years as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with a rural fire department and was a small business owner for a handful of years. It’s this entrepreneurial spirit that led him to the Economic Development Commission. He wants to help Hayden grow in the sense of having thriving small businesses that provide residents and visitors with goods and services while maintaining the small-town charm that we all love. Scott enjoys the Colorado outdoors and loves just about anything related to automobiles, especially the family’s classic 1967 Ford Mustang.
