Outdoor Recreation Resources & Economy Workshop – March 22 & 24

workshop invitation

The Town of Hayden is in the process of reviewing our outdoor recreation amenities and economy alongside a student group from the University of Colorado, Masters of the Environment program as part of the modified Recreation Economies for Rural Communities program. As the Town explores ways to diversify and strengthen our economy, we recognize that the outdoor recreation sector is a possible area of focus that can also result in improved, increased, and better accessible outdoor recreation opportunities for the community.

We invite you to participate and share your ideas as we explore:
– What type of outdoor recreation best suits the Hayden area and how can it be improved.
– How do we make outdoor recreation more accessible to all our community members.
– How can we leverage outdoor recreation to increase economic opportunities

This workshop is open to everyone and anyone so feel free to pass this information along to anyone you feel might be interested. The sessions will be fun and interactive with Thursday focused on visioning and Friday focused on identifying deliverable action items so we encourage you to attend all or part of the workshop.
