23 Jun Police Department Summer Announcement
Your Hayden Police Department would like to take a few minutes of your time to remind everyone of a couple of important summer topics.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
We are in that time of year where lawns, weeds and bushes are blooming, flourishing and springing forth. We, as a Town, take great pride in how our properties show our investment in our community and keep these maintained. To continue this legacy of care, we would like to remind everyone that per Town Ordinances (8.14.020) owners of yards, lots or occupants of a property need to keep the property substantially free of weeds and not allow turf grass to grow above a height of 12 inches.
As is usual this time of year, our Community Service Officer is patrolling our neighborhoods and advising residents where a potential violation may exist. Please help us maintain our welcoming appearance through helping us with compliance of these ordinances.
EVENTS & CLOSURES
As the Summer events unfold this year, we ask that everyone be aware of various temporary short road closures and detours that will be happening around our fair town. The following event closures will be occurring throughout the summer:
- Every Thursday from approximately 4:30-9pm – 100 Block of Walnut between Jefferson and Washington
- July 16th 10-11am – Hayden Daze Parade – Detour on Jefferson (Hwy 40) between 3rd St and Pine. Also Walnut and Washington will have detours in place for the parade route.
- August 20th between 10-11am – Routt County Fair Parade – Detour on Jefferson (Hwy 40) between 3rd St and Pine. Also Walnut and Washington will have detours in place for the parade route.
- Various Public Works projects and areas throughout the Town will also be showing up from time to time
The closures should be short time frames and should have detours in place. Please help us with these, so that all may enjoy the great outdoor events our Town is a part of.
Stay Safe All!
