Business Spotlight: Bloom

Molly Knochenmus was like many other frontline mental health workers post pandemic, ready for a change. Little did she know what the universe had in store for her. While on a leisure drive through Hayden, she saw a “for rent” sign on a business space in downtown Hayden, she signed the lease within a week, site unseen. The doors to Bloom opened October 16, 2024.

Molly describes opening Bloom as an osmosis. She comes from a bloodline of entrepreneurs, including her mother who owns and operates Steamboat Floral. Though she was surrounded by flowers much of her life, she never planned on being in the industry. Some may see this as a full circle moment, and for Molly, she feels she is exactly where she belongs.

Bloom is a plant shop, a passion of Molly’s. It is the first of its kind in Hayden, making the business both a necessity and inspiration. Bloom is defined as a plant shop that sells flowers. Molly makes sure to have an array of fresh flower bouquets on hand to satisfy any flower needs. Customers have described Bloom as “peaceful and relaxing,” an ambience Molly created organically through her love of plants.

Bloom houses a plethora of plant options and many unique services. Bloom offers plant repotting, monthly workshops, and seasonal offerings. Bloom Buds is a package that offers a floral filled vase at purchase with four refills (you bring back the vase every replenishment). Additionally, Bloom partners with local businesses for events, such as tablescaping an intimate dinner. You can even order flowers directly from Bloom for birthday parties, baby showers or other special occasions.
