2024 Pet Licensing & Vaccination Clinic

Pet Licensing & Vaccination Clinic | Saturday, May 11 | 9am - 1pm at Dry Creek Park

Time to get those pet licenses!

Owning a pet is a rewarding experience that brings joy and companionship to the pet lovers in our community. However, with the privilege of pet ownership comes the responsibility of ensuring the health and safety of both our furry friends and fellow community members. One critical aspect of responsible pet ownership is mandatory registration for dogs and cats, which is included in our town ordinances.

Mandatory registration of dogs and cats serves several important purposes including identification, public safety, animal welfare and community planning. By having your pet licensed, the associated tag can help reunite you with your furry friend if they ever get lost. It also ensures pets are up to date on vaccinations, reducing the risk of spreading diseases such as rabies ensuring public safety for the general public. Animals that are properly licensed demonstrates responsible pet ownership in that it shows pets are provided adequate shelter, nutrition and have access to veterinary care.  Licensing your pet also helps our police department to plan and allocate resources for animal control and emergency response. Knowing how many animals are in our community and who they belong to enables more efficient and effective management of animal-related issues in our neighborhoods, especially during crisis situations.

Please take advantage of the upcoming licensing, vaccination and spay/neuter clinic being held at Hayden Cleanup days scheduled for May 11, 2024, from 8am-2pm in the Dry Creek Park parking lot. Please note that both cats and dogs can be vaccinated but only cats will be sterilized at this clinic. Appointments for sterilization are required and can be scheduled by calling 970-457-8002. Thank you for doing your part to make Hayden a desirable town where we continue to grow and thrive in this great place we call home
