Hayden Master Plan Community Survey

The Town of Hayden is currently updating its master plan, a document required by state law that reflects its collective vision and intentions for the future. Its purpose is to establish a policy framework for future decisions related to growth and development. Ideally, it serves as a resource for individuals engaged in industry attraction, transportation planning, commercial and retail development, home building, the provision of services, construction of utilities, and programming of parks and open spaces.

While the master planning effort initially intended to provide numerous platforms for community engagement, social distancing restrictions and “stay at home orders” established in response to the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus have somewhat limited those opportunities. To that end, the planning team, together with the Town’s leaders, decided to solicit input from Hayden’s residents and business owners through the administration of a brief survey. Specifically, the Town’s leaders intend to use the responses to ensure future planning and project initiatives are strategic, impactful, and broadly representative.

For this reason, we are asking that everyone with an interest in Hayden’s future to complete our survey on or before July 6, 2020.  Responses will be reviewed by members of the planning team, shared with representatives of the Town serving on an advisory board, and reported on to elected officials.
